During this event, HVDC switchgear will be demonstrated, specifically a hybrid HVDC Circuit Breaker (350 kV) and HVDC Gas insulated switchgear technology (350 kV). Together, these two demonstrators show the maturity of all primary equipment needed to realize an HVDC substation, i.e. a node in an HVDC grid, making this event a significant milestone in the project.
