On Monday, the 21.09.2020 the PROMOTioN consortium invited all stakeholders to explore the next steps towards a European Meshed HVDC Offshore Grid. During the 5 hour-long online event, we heard commentary from political stakeholders, presented an overview on PROMOtioN and the project's findings and finally opened the floor to our panel of high-level experts from the sector discussing the findings and sketching out which steps need to be done next.
All attendees were encouraged to join the discussion by handing in their comments and questions via live-chat and we already would like to thank all who attended for a lively and engaged debate!

At GE, Silvia leads a Grid Solutions team of 3,400 engineers in more than 20 countries and the team is responsible for researching, designing and producing products and solutions for customers globally. In 2020, she became the first female VP at T&D Europe, the European association of the electricity transmission and distribution equipment and services industry.
Jan-Paul Dijckmans

Jan-Paul Dijckmans joined TenneT in 2001 and is currently as Associate Director Strategy & Partnerships responsible for business development, innovation, digitalisation, flexibility and also the North Sea Wind Power Hub (NSWPH) programme. The NSWPH programme facilitates a coordinated roll-out of large scale offshore wind in the North Sea.
